Clarke climbs to the top
Australian captain and number five batsmen in the Australian line-up Michael Clarke has climbed to equal first on the batsmen ICC rankings. He probarbly climbed to the top because of his classy 329 not out at the Sydney Cricket Ground earlier on this year in the Jane Mcgrath test. At the end of the first day of the test we was sitting on 47. At the end of day two he was sitting on 251 and on Jane Mcgrath day he declared for Australia on 329 not out. He also got 210 with a 386 run partnership including Michael himself and the very good right handed batsmen Ricky Ponting in Adelaide. He recieved 624 runs to his name during the previous Australia v India series including 2 hundreds, 1 man of the match and he recieved the player of the series. Michael sure did help the Australian team along with Ricky Ponting to win the series against the team with the best batting line up which have Rahul Dravid, Virender Sehwag, Sachin Tendulkar, Gautam Gambhir and Virat Kholi who did particually well during the last series. Oh yeah the team is India. Michael Clarke also won the Australia's best cricketer award in the Allan Border Medal.
